Horsham District Health Walks

All welcome to guided, free, sociable walks led by trained volunteers; no need to book, just turn-up at the start point. A booklet containing the walks is available from the Walks Co-ordinator on 07720 714306 or online at www.horsham.gov.uk/leisurepages/Leisure/sports/walking
Beginners are recommended to contact the Walk Leader: to discuss suitability. All walks can be wet and muddy in places. Forthcoming walks in the Wodmancote Parish and neighbouring areas are as follows:

Tue 3 & 17 March 11:00am Steyning Health Centre Walk 2 miles 75 mins
Walk 2276. Meet at Steyning Health Centre, Tanyard Lane, BN44 3RJ (TQ176113). Various routes taking in parts of Steyning and the outskirts. Includes some stiles and inclines. Wed 11 & 25 March 10:00am Henfield Byways 2-3 miles 1 hr
Walk 1033. Meet Henfield Library, High Street, Henfield, BN5 9HN. Lovely walk around the twittens, ginnells and snickets of Henfield. May be extended if walkers wish to walk further. No dogs. Anne 01273 493671

Sat 14 March 9:00am Wiston/Steyning Downland Dog Walk 2 miles 75 mins
Walk 2163. Meet at Steyning Cricket Pavilion, BN44 3LE. Please park in one of the Steyning car parks as there is limited parking at cricket pavilion. A walk for dog owners into accessible areas of the Steyning Downland Scheme and includes a hill. Supported by HDC & Steyning Downland Scheme. Maximum of two dogs per handler, you are responsible for actions of your dog. Ann 01903 297553

Sat 28 March 2:00pm NEW WALK Knepp Castle Rewilding 5.6 miles 2.5 hrs
Walk 3162. Meet at Knepp Walkers Car Park, off Swallows Lane, Dial Post, RH13 8NN (£2 donation requested). The rewilding work at Knepp is becoming world famous. The estate have done away with traditional farming ways and now allow cattle, pigs and deer to roam freely over the 3,500 acre estate. The walk is flat and can be very muddy in places.
