Horsham District Health Walks November 2019

Published: 14 October 2019

All welcome to guided, free, sociable walks led by trained volunteers; no need to book, just turn-up at the start point. A booklet containing the walks is available from the Walks Co-ordinator on 07720 714306 or online at www.horsham.gov.uk/leisurepages/Leisure/sports/walking

Beginners are recommended to contact the Walk Leader: to discuss suitability. All walks can be wet and muddy in places. Forthcoming walks in the Woodmancote Parish and neighbouring areas are as follows:

Mon 4 Nov 10:00am West Grinstead Church & Downs Link 5 miles 2.5 hrs

Walk 2098. Meet at West Sussex County Council car park next to the Downs Link at West Grinstead, immediately east of Orchard Restaurant (RH13 8LU, TQ183226). The car park is hard to find as the sign is tucked away especially if you are coming from the west. The car park entrance is opposite Park Lane. This walk involves walking along the Downs Link and fields to view a church and a walk along the River Adur. Well behaved dogs welcome. Irene 01403 783637 / 07790 420752

Walk 2129. Meet in the car park at the Partridge Green Village Hall, RH13 8JY (TQ190191). A circular walk to the west of the village of Partridge Green. The walk will include stiles, but it is flat. However, it can be muddy during the winter. The walk will take us past an 11th century Norman church in West Grinstead and we will join the Downs Link or the river path, in dryer weather, for the last part of the walk. No dogs please as we may encounter livestock. Mike 07855 502023
